Managing Principal and Team Lead – Transport Infrastructure

Bill Madill brings more than two decades of experience in occupational and construction health and safety, with a career shaped by large-scale infrastructure, transit, and industrial projects across Ontario. He began his safety career in consulting roles, progressing through increasingly senior leadership positions before joining CrossSafety in 2016. His experience spans strategic program development through to field-level execution, giving him a comprehensive understanding of both organizational oversight and on-site risk management.

Bill holds a Bachelor of Business and a Safety Certificate from the University of New Brunswick. He maintains professional designations as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals and a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) through the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations — credentials that reflect both technical expertise and recognized industry leadership.

Throughout his career, Bill has led health and safety programs on complex, high-risk projects including the Eglinton Crosstown, Finch West, and Hurontario LRT projects, as well as major assignments with the Toronto Transit Commission and York Region Rapid Transit Corporation. As Managing Principal and Team Lead – Transport Infrastructure, he provides strategic direction, regulatory oversight, and leadership across multidisciplinary teams, helping clients manage risk, maintain compliance, and deliver critical infrastructure safely and responsibly.
