This course meets the legislative requirements for provincial and territorial workplace safety and insurance boards, and include the latest first aid and CPR Guidelines.

What certification will I receive upon completion?
Upon successful completion, participants receive a Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR/AED certification, valid for 3 years. To stay certified, you can take a recertification (refresher) course once before your certificate expires. After that, you must retake the full course. If your certification expires at any time, the full course is required.
How long is the Standard First Aid & CPR course?
Standard First Aid & CPR/AED is typically completed over 2 days (approximately 13–14 hours).
We also offer Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED, which is completed in 1 day (approximately 6–8 hours
How do I complete Standard First Aid & CPR training?
Training is delivered through a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner and includes both theory and hands-on practical instruction to ensure participants can confidently respond to real-life emergencies.
Are there any prerequisites for Standard First Aid & CPR training?
No, there are no prerequisites to take this course—anyone can register. However, if you are renewing an existing certification, it must still be valid (not expired) to qualify for a recertification course.
Is AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training included in the course?
Yes. AED training is included as part of the Standard First Aid & CPR/AED course. Participants will learn how to safely and effectively use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) during an emergency alongside CPR techniques.
