Work at Heights Training & Certification Course
July 18, 2023. Our CPO Approved Working At Heights program provides workers with the certification required for the safe use and operation of equipment for working at heights. Students will learn to recognize fall hazards and apply the proper safety measures.
Working At Heights (WAH) Training Program Course: (full day)
- CPO-Approved, meeting Ontario’s most recent training requirements
- Students who successfully complete this 8-hour training course will receive a certificate from the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development as confirmation of their education and this certificate will be valid for 3 years.
Course curriculum
This training includes both a theory and practical component.
The theory component covers the following:
- Legal responsibilities
- Identification of hazards and controls
- Fall Prevention
- Ladder Safety
- Guard Rails
- Travel Restraints
The practical component consists of the following:
- Personal Fall Protection Equipment
- Barriers and bump lines
- Anchor systems and platforms
- Rescue Planning
